How ancient people treated sex dolls
Infatuated artist's sex doll
In 1912, Austro-Hungarian artist Oskar Kokoschaka met pianist and composer Alma Mahler at a dinner party. Since then, fanatical love and passionate creation have become the themes of Oskar's life.

Over the next 3 years, some 450 paintings were born out of his love for Alma. But the relationship between the sex dolls eventually came to an end. After losing Alma, Oskar wrote, "he has lost the courage to be tortured by love again."

Desperate, he asked a silicone sex doll manufacturer in Munich to create a sex doll that was exactly the same size as Alma, with exactly the same details. Oscar gave the sex doll maker a wealth of information for this, including details on Alma's face and even the feel of her skin.

Oskar thought it would help him comfort his bleeding heart, but the results were disappointing. The mini sex doll looks very clumsy, and the thick wool imitation hair makes the sex doll feel less like a human and more like a plush toy.
There are also different accounts of the end of the sex doll. Some historians believe that Oskar was obsessed with the "sex doll" and made many portraits of her. But others say Oskar decapitated the sex doll at a party in his Dresden studio, or that he burned or buried the doll.
